Airway Management Simulation

More Than Just a Head

 *  Timing to place airway device
 *  Correct anatomical landmarks
 *  Natural chest resistance

More Features

 *  'See' Air As It Moves Into Lungs
 *  Volume and Rate of air flow
 *  Accurate movememnt with throax pressure

Comprehensive Hardware

Head tilt-chin lift with correct anatomical landmarks for placing of ET Tube and other par-larygeal devices. Works with most devices. Reinforced throat area. Manikin stablizing feature to prevent unnatural lifting and movememnt of the manikin when in use.

Natural chest resistance for realistic practice delilvery of air and natural exhalation. Esophafeal sphincter with correct pressure gradient for air movement into the stomach and natural pressure for release of air from stomach.

Includes full thorax to proivde realistic air movement pressures. Also introduces teh ability for Advanced Airway training so it can be used for upskilling of staff in preparation of ventilating during an emergency response. For example, intubated 'in the fly' when chest compressions are required to be ongoing, will the full complications of air deflection and movement of the airway. Very realtistic with life-like air flow in and out of the lungs as actions are ongoing.

Physical and Digital Feedback

This advanced Airway Management Trainer combines the best features of high quality hardware with advanced accurate digital display of information. Our proprietary sensors provide accurate real time feedback on many parameters that are important to helping the condition of the patient. For example, it includes the time it takes to place the ET TUbe along with whether the cuff is properly sealed and holding pressure. It can sense whther the BVM has been squeezed correctly and whether it was released correctly. It will display the tidal flow of the ventilation as it occurs. See below for more details on the htree levels of skills covered by this training instrumnet.

Basic Airway Skills

Identification and Placement. This system provides the learning with the basics. You must place the head into the correct position, proper use of the larygiscope, identification of landmarks such as the vocal cords, correctly placing of the ET Tube. Move to the next level by timing your performance and then moving to establish teh airway when the throax is being compressed. PICTURE OF the Vocal cords.

Also includes a review of how to correctly use a BVM. Real time feedback teaches you have to squeeze the BVM correct, how to release the BVM correct, and how to learn the timing between ventilations. This product is very accurate for measuring the volume delivered, the length of time teh air is flowing into the lungs, and the time between ventilations.

Intermediate Airway Skills

Timing and correct delivery of air. This Airway Management Product provides a high degree of accuracy. It willprovide how long it takes to establish an advanced airway and also includes the ability to verify when the cuff is holding air correctly. Again this feature works while the chest is moving.

At this level it is important to learn how to deliver air correctly to the patient. The Airway management trainign system provides feedback on proper delivery of air and correct release of te BVM.

Airway Skills for Professionals
Upskilling Required for Emergencies

During an emergency. During an airway emergency, time, precision and correct performance are all required. This Airway Management Trainer is perfect for Upskilling for these emergencies. It has superior features and more realistic airflow.

For example, you may need to establish an airway while chest compressionsns are ongoing. To practice this properly, you must have life-like ariflow. That is, as the chest moves down, it moves the air out of the lungs and as the hcest is releaesd, air is sucked into the lungs. The natural pressures in the thorax, the movement of air, the volumes of air are all changed. V4EMS has the system to provide this life-like interaction. Superior features for more realistic training!

Delta Tidal Flow Interaction System is a proprietary V4EMS technology. It is only found on advanced SmartMan CPR Training systems. This technology provides accurate measurement, excellent physical feel and real time digital display of the movement of air in and out of the lungs during performance of CPR.

Intubation Trainer

High Fidelity. This is a head and torso to create a more realistic training environment. This brings not only a more realistic look to the training environment, but adds several important elements that are important when intubating a real person.

Feedback. This product teaches you how to perform and then become efficient at establishing an advanced airway. It is especially useful to improve quick accurate placing of an ET Tube, but can also be used to train people how to correctly use other paralaryngeal devices.

Moving Chest. This product allows you to practice when someone is performing chest compressions. It has the extra features required to bring a heightened reality to this difficult skill. Besides the fact that the manikin will move a bit as the compressions are being performed, the downward movement of the chest will push air out and tend to deflect the tube and tissue. Then it will suck air in on the lungs on release of the chest compression. This constant movement inside of the larynx mimics what happens in a real human during this procedure.

Assisted Ventilation

BLS Airway. This product provides the highest quality, state of the art training available to practice how to correctly provide a patient with air through use of a Bag Valve Mask (BVM). This is a widely required skill for many conditions from conscious sedation to respiratory distress and is especially important when dealing with COVID-19 patients.

Accurate Rate and Volume. Unlike other system, SmartMan is calibrated for volume accuracy and accuracy for the rate of air flow.

Incredible Feedback. The only system to provide accurate real time feedback on all parameters important to performing this skill. You can see the air flow into the lungs and the exact rate of flow is provided. It will display if you have released the BVM correctly.
